Vincent spent a happy retirement carving. He made many friends and was always generous in giving his time to help and encourage others and, especially, in sharpening or in making chisels for colleagues. He carved in a number of woods, but particularly liked to use sycamore. His sad death robbed us of a good friend and fellow carver.
