Almondbury Club (Wormald Hall) - Terry Thorley-Lawson

Almondbury was the major settlement in the area in Medieval times, far larger than Huddersfield. In 1294, Almondbury was granted a licence to hold a weekly market and a 3-day annual fair. However, today it is dwarfed by Huddersfield. However, many fine buildings still remain, Wormald Hall being one of them and probably pre-dating the inscription on the lintel over the door of 1631. 9"x12"
