Scammonden Dam - Frank Greenwood

Scammonden Dam forms part of the M62 motorway - the high level motorway which crosses the Pennines, linking Yorkshire and Lancashire - and was completed in 1971. Scammonden Bridge, shown on the left of the carving, is the largest single span fixed arch bridge in the country with a total span of 660' rising 120' above the motorway. 9"x15"
