Hammond's Yard - Mary Stott

Hammond's Yard was one of many yards in Huddersfield town centre, which grew up consisting of many small houses and workrooms, often behind a large frontal building, where trade in cloth took place. Most of the houses had mullioned windows and were accessed by one door which was often up a flight of stone steps. Many yards have been demolished but a few survive and have been modernised - Hammond's Yard being one of them. 9"x9"
